Chat is not showing in the overlay

Make sure Streamer.bot is connected to your YouTube account and chat listener is active. Verify WebSocket server is enabled and the port matches your builder settings.

Overlay page opens but stays blank

Check the host and port in the builder. If OBS runs on the same PC, use 127.0.0.1. Confirm the WebSocket server is running.

OBS shows browser source but no messages

Enable “Refresh browser when scene becomes active” and disable shutdown when hidden. Then reload the source.

Emoji are not rendering correctly

Update to the latest overlay version and ensure YouTube emoji support is enabled in your builder settings.

Badges are missing

Badge display depends on Streamer.bot role flags. Make sure moderator/member detection is enabled.

Can I use this on another PC?

Yes. Use your local network IP instead of 127.0.0.1 and allow network access in the WebSocket server settings.

Does this work without login?

Yes. The builder stores settings locally in your browser. No account is required.
